Earth Angel (um, no, it’s not the song)

An Irish company has launched an environmentally-friendly personal massager (you know… for the ladies).

Ahem!

Instead of using batteries, it’s powered by a wind-up mechanism, much like old-school wrist watches.

As the official web site says:

“Unlike traditional “green” toys it will never require replacement batteries as it houses its own patented power core. Intense vibrations from the word go. A specially adapted key is fitted within the base and is extracted and turned to initiate the power core. A few quick turns ……. and hey presto!!”

“Hey presto!”, huh? Not quite the term I’d associate this with, but okay lol

The Earth Angel is available Down Under (see what I did there? oo-eerr) from Natural Contours Australia for $109.

Who’s willing to do a review for That’s Noice? ;)

What I want for Xmas – Astronaut please!

This would be a great group present at Christmas or any other time of the year; an inflatable astronaut!

astronaut

He (or she!) stands at about 2m tall, so (s)he is pretty big!

Available from Australian Geographic for a cool $199.

Now you know why I said it would make a great “group” present, hehe.

Pizza party that comes to you

In our house, we have a bit of a thing for pizza. I can’t tell you how much we’ve spent in money and time trying to perfect the pizza process, including the dough, sauce and cooking! But it’s a labour of love, and not something we can serve when we have more than a couple of friends over.

mobilepizzaImagine having a pizza party in your own backyard?

There are heaps of businesses around Australia that offer mobile pizza catering (and some even offer mobile pizza-making courses!).

In Sydney there’s Pizza Chefs and Marco’s; in WA there’s VesBar Mobile Pizza, Pizza Perfecto and Yoho Pizza; Queensland has It’s a Go Go; Darwin has Pizza A La Cart. Unfortunately, I couldn’t seem to find any in Victoria, South Australia or Tassie.

What’s your favourite pizza topping? I can’t go past a classic pepperoni and cheese or a potato, bacon and sour cream combo. NOM NOM NOM!!

The perfect mug for when you want to dunk your bikkies

Just when you thought there was no where else for the humble coffee mug to go…

dunkmug

This dunk mug would be perfect for those days when I want to dunk a bikkie or two into my morning office coffee. I don’t think more than one Tim Tam would fit, so I’d have to stick with a Milk Arrowroot or two ;)

Love Being Woman Giveaway

Congratulations to our winners…
Christine Higgs from QLD
Tim Williams from WA

vibratorWe have 2 Be Be personal massagers (yes, vibrators!) valued at $119 each to give away. Read on to find out more about this great Australian product and how you could win one.

Creators, Aussie mums Lisa and Kristine from Love Being Woman, were sick of the tacky imagery, packaging and the male centric design of current vibrators.  After nearly 2 years of laughing and looking, working with designers and experimenting, their work finally paid off and the Be Be was created. It is the very first vibrator design by Women, for Women.

The Be Be is discreet and quiet so there’s no need to worry about waking up the neighbours. The Be Be is for non-penetrative use and to not be intimidating for your partner.

Did you know that research has found 70% of women climax through external stimulation?

The Be Be has been design with sensual feminine curves and touch sensitive buttons so that you can release those feel good endorphins.  The release of those happy hormones not only feels great , they  can also improve your health. Studies have shown that the release of endorphins can help:

  • reduce stress
  • enhance your mood
  • increase self- esteem
  • boost your immune system

The Be Be comes packaged in a discrete white box. Inside, the Be Be has it’s own stylish case and satin pouch that wouldn’t look out of place, well….just about anywhere.

So, for those of you who fancy trying something exciting, sensual and stimulating with or without your partner. My Review? The Be Be certainly does what it says on the box, and that’s about all I will say on that *blush*

RSPCA Care Centre Grand opening

This Saturday 12 December 2009 from 10am to 2pm, the brand new RSPCA Care Centre at Rouse Hill will officially open to the public. You can go along and meet the staff, while enjoying a free bbq and children’s face painting.

The RSPCA Care Centre is the first of it’s kind in Australia. It includes animal adoption facilities, veterinary treatment rooms, and a large range of human and furry friend products.

The Centre will be an extension of the RSPCA shelters. Animals cost the same amount, the staff are RSPCA trained, and the adoption process is the same. Just in a more animal and human friendly environment.

Interior

Shelters aren’t always the most customer-friendly environments. Many people avoid going to shelters because they find the experience too emotional. Instead, they go to pet shops or backyard breeders which are the worst place to buy your furry family members.

The aim of the Care Centre is to increase adoption and decrease euthanasia, which is very important as the RSCPA moves into it’s busiest time of year.
