New limited edition Magnum Gold?!
Streets has released a new edition to their hugely popular Magnum ice cream range…the Magnum Gold?! (yes, the product name really has the ?! just in case Magnum and Gold where not enough to get you excited?!)
Rah and I were lucky enough to get a sneaky peak sample of them this week, before they go on sale.
O M G!!!
Check.it.out! They say it is their most indulgent ice creams ever. Magnum Gold?! marries creamy vanilla ice cream with swirls of delicious golden honeycomb sauce, dipped in a think Magnum gold coating.

I have to say, I was a little worried it maybe a bit TOO indulgent for me, maybe a little too rich. But it was srsly delish, just right. That golden coating is the best bit..NOM!
Be sure to check out the My Magnum site as well, where you can upload a pic of yourself and star in an action packed film clip along side Benicio Del Toro.
They will be available in stores mid-April in single serve (RRP$3.40AUD) and in a pack of 4 (RRRP$7.79AUD)

Now you mention it, does seem like a strange time to release a new ice cream. But I guess the die hard magnum fans are happy to eat them any time of year.
They want to test the waters then release properly in summer??

Manpet LOVED them! They didn’t give an exact date, but there is going to be lots of advertising..so I am sure you won’t miss them.
They are only going to be available till the end of the year, so you will have to stock up ;)

got a message from Shaneez (the PR chickadee) about the winter-y release:
“Magnum Gold is being launched globally to coincide with the Northern Hemisphere summer and we didn’t want the Aussie and New Zealand markets to have to wait six months to try the new product so we’re launching even though it’s going into the cooler months.”
I approve of this theory, stuffed if we have to wait for good icecream ;)
Picked up a box of these babies at Woolies tonight, so I guess they are out in the wild now!
Another supermarket visit ends up in disappointment. None here yet. :(

We are on our 4th box *blush* all up..not this week :P
I was looking forward to this as I love Magnum but I was very disappointed. No honeycomb swirl as advertised until you get to the stick and the choc coating is too brittle. Think I might go drumstick next time – no boring bits…
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I love being pregnant so I can eat lots of these in winter! mind you with 3 little kids here I better buy them in 4 packs!
