I have a super sense of smell (which is quite often a curse…so.many.stinky.people!!) But I also find I am allergic to a lot of regular commercial perfumes. So finding something that smells awesome, and doesn’t make me sense my head of can be near impossible.

Urban Rituelle is an Australian owned husband and wife team. They have a great range of yummy smelly stuff, regular perfumes (which are my fav) they do also do soaps, moisturisers, lip balms, candles and even a Men’s and Baby range.

The Sweet Treats collection is A..mazing! The bestest one, that you just MUST have, is the Cotton Candy..YUM! I’m really enjoying the Peach Blossom too at the moment.

Their range is great vaule for money, postage is fast. And they even throw in a GWP (gift with purchase) hard to pass up!

Check them out at www.urbanrituelle.com.au and shop online, or their store in Caringbah.

Someone must have been riding their bike one day and thought, “This is good, but I’d like it to be harder. And more unstable.” And thus, the ElliptiGO was born.

The ElliptiGO 8S delivers a high-performance workout experience that closely mimics running outdoors while eliminating the impact. By modifying the elliptical trainer motion and combining it with a bicycle, the ElliptiGO 8S provides a comfortable, fun and efficient way to exercise outdoors. The ElliptiGO 8S is great for runners who want to extend their running lives, cross-training athletes who want to get a serious weight-bearing cardiovascular workout without the associated pounding caused by running, and for fitness enthusiasts who enjoy the elliptical trainer motion but don’t want to be stuck in a gym.

Now, I ride bikes quite avidly. So it’s slightly concerning that I want to try one. Unfortunately it’s only available in the US on pre-order. The ElliptiGO comes in three different colours, and sells for US$2,199 – not including shipping.

I could probably count on one hand the amount of times I have worn makeup this year. I am not a makeup girl, and I guess a lot of it comes down to having trouble finding the right product and colour for my skin, I have tried quite a few.

I went into Priceline the other night to check out what was on offer and got chatting to one of the girls. She suggested I try some Nude by Nature.

Nude by Nature is a 100% mineral make up that consists of just 4 ingredients. It evens out your complexion and conceals imperfections and blemishes. The mineral formula is kind to even sensitive skin and will not block pores. It is also water resistant and provides added UVA/UVB protection. It is Australian made and owned and not tested on animals.

I have seen their ads on TV, and their site is a little spammy looking (I am not even going to link to it) which does them no favours. Given the dodgy marketing I would never have given it a second thought before being given a demo.

It is meant to be used as a 3 part system, a bronzer, the main foundation and a finishing veil. At $40, I wasn’t about to buy them all, it’s a bit more than the crappy $15 stuff I usually buy (perhaps there in lies my problem) So I just bought the Mineral cover to give it a try.

I am totally in love! It is awesome. So easy to apply, even for a n00b like me. Covers your spots and uneven skin tone all with the swirl of a brush. Great for summer when you might get a little sweaty. Even the manpet commented, and it usually takes him 2 weeks to notice I’ve had a haircut. I’m not into a bronzer, but I will definitely be going back for the finishing veil which.

Available from Priceline and other cosmetic retailers for around $38 (definitely steer clear of buying from their TV ads or website, way too expensive)

Noble’s Pureau is the only Australian water that is 100% guaranteed to be completely free of all impurities including chlorine, bacteria, sodium (salt), fluoride, pesticides and other inorganic minerals.

The “Pureau Process” features a unique three-stage filtration method that removes all impurities present in water – one of the most advanced water filtration systems in the world.

The Noble website has a bunch of information about the benefits of truly purified water as well as the environmental impact of their packaging. They even have a blog, which always wins this nerd’s little heart ;)

Alrighty, I know you want to know how to get your paws on one of these great SIGG drink bottles! These 750ml bottles are courtesy of our friends at Noble’s Pureau AND ARE FANTASTIC. I’ve been test driving the SIGG bottles over the last week or so and they are seriously great. They’re worth around $42 each!

To be in the running to win one of these beauties, just send an email to hello@thatsnoice.com, answering this question:

“What do you think is the best benefit of Noble’s Pureau pure water?”

(Hint: check out the the Noble website!)

Sorry, available to Australian residents only. The 5 best answers will by chosen by Noble. Entries close 11.59pm on Sunday 15 November 2009.

It’s no secret that Leigh and I are fans of the Wii, exercising with the Wii and alternatives to Wii Fit.

But there’s a new system on sale in the UK called Domyos Interactive System (or, DIS).

This video doesn’t do a great job of selling it – it doesn’t show off the gloves or bike/elliptical trainer you can use with it:

Having a look at the info on the official website, the DIS seems to operate on its own console system. There are seven cartiridges to choose from, and the descriptions on them make me want to give it a go!

There’s no indication about an Australian release, and you can only buy it in the UK in-store, but I’m going to assume that it would be an expensive investment (and I’m not going to remember how much I’ve spent on Wii exercise games!)

I’d still be very interested to check it out, though. Hopefully they’ll release it down under soon!

To coincide with the 80th anniversary of blood collection services in Australia, the Federal Government has designated 2009 the Year of the Blood Donor.

This week is National Blood Donor Week, an opportunity to showcase and recognise the Millions of special donors all over the world and hear from the people whose lives are transformed by their generosity.

Did you know?
• One in three Australians will need blood at some stage during their lifetime – but only one in 30 currently give it

• Australia needs 21,000 blood donations per week to ensure there are adequate supplies for those people who need it

• Giving blood takes only one hour of your time and it can help save the lives of three people

• A donation of 470 ml of blood is less than 10% of your total blood volume

• Your body keeps discarding and replenishing blood all the time whether you give blood or not – so you may as well put that ‘spare’ blood to good use and help save up to three lives as you do it

I went along to give blood for the first time today! It is something I have wanted to do for awhile, but I guess like so many things in our busy lives I just never seemed to get around to it. I myself received quite a few blood transfusion after the birth of my last child, so I know how important they can be.

If you need a reason to dontae, take the time to read Ivy’s special story and how just an hour of your time can change her life, and the lives of so many others.

Please visit the Australian Red Cross Blood service to see if you are suitable to be a Blood donor and find your nearest Donor Centre.
