Treadputer

I need one! I know there are people out there thinking if you can’t tear yourself away from the puter for 30mins you are sad. I am happy to wear that label with pride! I will use what ever means necessary to get through a workout as easily as possible.

surfshelfI have been looking into some way of attaching the (old) macbook to the treadmill. Asked the manpet if he would build me something, he wasn’t too keen. Surely some one has made something for the job?

Woo and they have! Surf Shelf a simple shelf that attaches to most 90% of Treadmills, bikes and cross trainers.

Some tweeting, chatting..oh and yes working of course while your working out…awesome!

The Surf Shelf is $40US, and while it is not mentioned on the site (I emailed to check) International postage is around $24US to Australia.

I am ordering! Can’t wait for it to arrive, maybe I could spend all day on the treadmill. They need to make a treamill powered laptop next.

Speck PixelSkin

Last week I bought a Speck PixelSkin for my iPod Touch to replace the generic-branded skin that my beloved kitteh decided to nom.

I chose the Speck PixelSkin purely because they were on Catch of the Day for $20.00 each (they’re priced at $44.95 each on Apple’s Australian online store).

And I could buy it in bright pink. How could I resist?

I’m a bit clueless when it comes to my iPod Touch, but it turns out mine is Generation 1 and the skin is for Generation 2, so the fit was a bit too tight, but barely noticeable to the untrained (my!) eye.

The skin itself is chunkier than I’m used to, but I’m much happier having something to give my Touch some traction. I’m always terrified of my naked Touch slipping of my desk, coffee table or out of my hands!

I even bought one for the iPhone in preparation of the iPhone 3GS that I’m hoping to get at the end of the month. I would like to consider that as a forward-thinking moment!

Favorite iPhone/iPod touch apps

There are SO many iPhone/iPod apps available, it’s hard to know which ones are worth it and which are just rubbish. I love checking out the app store and trying out something new.

Here are a couple of our favourites. Would love to know what your favourite apps are?

(all links open in iTunes and prices listed in $AUD)

Shopper- Shopping list app. Has some great features, allows you to group items by type and isle and you can set it up for different stores if you shop in more than one place. $1.19

eBay mobile- Everything (well the important stuff) in one Free app.Keep track of items you are watching, bidding on or selling. You can search and view auction as normal too. Free

TwitterFon- For twitter, I use twitterfon. It’s free, and also has a paid version. There are so many twitter apps available, just a matter of personal choice.

Games

Sally’s Spa- Totally addicted to this game at the moment. Help Sally build her spa empire giving massages, facials, pedicures and more.  I am aware how lame that sounds…but seriously fun game. $1.19

Don’t eat your chocolate – Le Whif it!

3628643588_083a7982e1_mHere’s an interesting way to get your chocolate fix without the calories – a chocolate inhaler!

Weird, right?

But I think I like the idea!

Le Whif sells individual inhalers with one of four chocolate flavours: mint, raspberry, mango and milk chocolate.

Inventor Professor David Edwards explains Le Whif: “Over the centuries we’ve been eating smaller and smaller quantities at shorter and shorter intervals. It seemed to us that eaing was tending towards breathing, so, with a mix of culinary art and aerosol science, we’ve helped move eating habits to their logical conclusion. We call it whiffing.”

Okay, so whiffing it is!

Le Whif only launched a couple of months ago, and it only seems to be available from their (overseas) official web site. It costs about US$2.00 for 3 inhalers.

It’s not the sort of thing I’d order in from overseas, but if they were available down under I would totally be trying these things out!
