That's Noice!

The Neutrogena Wave power cleaner is a nifty new facial cleaner set to hit Australian shelves in March. It has been getting rave reviews in the US and was sold out within 3 days of going on sale.

So, it claims to be clinically proven as being superior to manual cleansing, better than the leading cleanser, cleans 10 times deeper to remove dirt, oil and make-up giving you noticeably softer and smoother skin after just one use. Orly?

In the box you get the cute little pink “face vibrator” as we have named it, 14 cleaning pads (don’t giggle to yourself inappropriately like I did that they are actually called tampons on the packet) and a battery. So you’re all set straight out of the box.  RRP is $20 for this pack.

Now I will admit, I am a little slack on the facial cleaning front. Thinking, sure..I’ll try it out but I doubt i’ll be able to tell the difference, and I really have nothing to compare it with.

How does it work? You whack a little pad on to the wave cleaner, wet the pad a little and turn it on. The pad doesn’t spin or anything like that, just a nice gentle vibration. Now I found it best just to give the pad a little rub with your finger first to get the suds happening and your set to go. Gently move it all around your face and neck. It is water resistant, so you can even use it in the shower.

So how was it? I was seriously surprised with how well it did. The little pad was embarrassingly grotty once I was done, and my face really was smooth and softer. Even the manpet commented! I’ve been using it for a few days now and my skin feels great.

rah says: I have to admit that I felt a bit silly using a vibrating device on my face, but if you’re willing to move past that, then I think you’ll be impressed with the Wave. You also have to use the Wave just so you can tickle the end of your nose because it makes you giggle like you’re a 3 year old on a sugar high.

On a completely unrelated tangent, it was a welcome change to see a name brand AA battery supplied in the pack instead of the usual no-name job.

At first I doubted if the Wave would really be able to do a decent job of cleansing my face, but it passed the test of removing my work makeup with flying colours and it left my skin feeling like a baby’s bum. Be sure you you follow the instructions and don’t use it around your eyes – use your usual eye makeup remover.

Excuse me while I go tickle my nose again…!

Neutrogena Wave will be available in Coles, Woolworths, Priceline, selected pharmacies, Kmart, Big W, Target, IGA and other Independent Supermarkets nationwide from March 2009, with a RRP of $19.99. Refills for the Neutrogena® Wave™ Power Cleanser will also be available for a RRP of $13.99 (30 pack).

Johnny Cupcakes is having a Bakesale a with up to 45% off selected items.

I have a bit of a T addiction and would love nothing more to add a Johnny Cupcakes T or 2 to my collection.

But sadly, Johnny Cupcakes is another store that needs to work on their international postage charges. Postage for one shirt is about $26US !

Come on people, you can’t tell me it costs THAT much to post a little t shirt to Australia. Threadless charges half that for 4-5 shirts.

I guess at least they actually offer international postage. It still surprises me the amount of online stores that do not.

That’s Noice! is an Aussie-centric blog full of things considered awesome. Awesome is found in all sorts of shapes and sizes like toe socks, salad servers, hedgehogs, christmas trees and cupcakes. Especially cupcakes…LOTS of cupcakes..did we mention cupcakes?. Nom.

We’ll bring you a great mix of stuff we find in our travels, and everything will be in or available to us Aussies. We’ll be especially featuring lots of handmade goodies.

We are huge V junkies here at That’s Noice. V..the breakfast (and every other meal) of Champions!

Pretty excited when I saw the new cans of V this week.

Not to be out done by Mother (they can remake it all they like..it still taste like crap!) V have released new double hit 500ml cans.

They are ginormous! 500mls of awesome. Have to say, I prefer V from a can to a bottle..but it’s never really enough. Won’t have that issue any more.

The can feels very strange to hold, found myself grinning like an idiot LOL but I’m sure I’ll get used to it ;)

These little cuties are from Sweet & Flour, based in Nowra in regional New South Wales.

They also have a blog where they showcase new cakes, cookies and all-important cupcakes.
